Lacrosse

The lacrosse program at Christian Brothers is in its seventh season. It is the oldest middle school boys program in the state (except for Shreveport) and was the first program in the city. It is a large intramural program that fosters an introduction to the fastest sport on two feet. The Christian Brothers School Lacrosse model is now being emulated everywhere. Lacrosse is scheduled such that it does not conflict with any sports at Christian Brothers, so as to maximize the ability for anyone who wishes to play to be able to do so. The past two years we have had over 100 students participate in lacrosse and have even had a sixth/seventh grade travel team, competing in tournaments in Alabama, Mississippi, and Louisiana. With the advent of high school lacrosse in many of the high schools in the state, middle school students are finding their lacrosse niche and are able to play throughout their high school careers.
