Intramurals
Intramural leagues are formed in order to encourage and increase participation in various sports.
Christian Brothers School will attempt to form intramural leagues for the following sports:
bowling, flag football, tchoukball, soccer, basketball, baseball and volleyball.
Bowling
Bowling is an intramural program open to all students. Each grade level has a separate league.
Play is held on Sunday mornings (10:00 - 12:00) at Colonial Lanes in Harahan.
The season runs from February through April.
Flag Football
Flag football is an intramural program open to all students.
Each grade level has a separate league and competes for one hour on a designated weekday
(i.e. 5th on Mondays, 6th on Tuesdays, 7th on Wednesdays) after school.
The league runs from September to November.
Tchoukball
Tchoukball is an intramural program open to all students.
The game is easy to learn and play making it popular among the most experienced
AND least experienced athletes in the student body. Each grade level has a separate league
and competes for one hour on a designated weekday (i.e. 5th on Mondays, 6th on Tuesdays, 7th on Wednesdays)
after school. The league runs from December to February.
Soccer
The soccer intramural program is open to all students.
Teams are formed from students of all grade levels.
Competitions are on a designated weekday for one hour after school. The league runs from April to May.
Basketball
The basketball intramural program is new to CBS.
The plan is for the program to be open to all students and for each grade
level to have a separate league. Games will likely be played on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays
in the Cultural Center with each game lasting an hour.
The intramural season will run from September to November.
Baseball
The baseball intramural program is open to 5th and 6th graders only.
Teams are formed from students of both grade levels.
Games are on Saturday mornings for one hour at Falcon Field. The league runs from March to April.
Volleyball
The volleyball intramural program is new to CBS and is currently being planned. More information will follow.
